As "Initiative Radio" eases into its' third season, today's show is a blend of vintage and new material. In the first part of the show we revisit Angela's interview with Patricia and Clive Chin, the originators of VP Records. VP Records is arguably the premiere independent label in the modern history of Reggae music and the Chins are the pioneers who brought a vast catalogue of Reggae music to the United States via Queens New York. Quite a few of VP artists have gone on to receive the proverbial fame and fortune.

In the second segment, we meet burgeoning Reggae musicians Khalilah Rose, Leeia Music and Under the Rasta Influence. All of these gifted young artists are of Jamaican heritage but born in the United States. This mix of cultures gives them a unique perspective on what it means to be Jamaican and how they present their music.
